AB817-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB817-AA2,1,3 21. Page 1, line 3: after “jumping" insert “, bail jumping, and providing a
3penalty".
AB817-AA2,1,4 42. Page 1, line 4: before that line insert:
AB817-AA2,1,6 5 Section 1h. 946.49 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is renumbered 946.49 (1) and
6amended to read:
AB817-AA2,1,107 946.49 (1) Whoever, having been released from custody under ch. 969,
8intentionally fails to appear as required or to comply with the terms a term of his or
9her bond that prohibits contact with another individual or prohibits his or her
10presence in a specified location
is: guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.
AB817-AA2,1i 11Section 1i. 946.49 (1) (a) and (b) of the statutes are repealed.
AB817-AA2,1j 12Section 1j. 946.49 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB817-AA2,2,2
1946.49 (2) A witness for whom bail has been required under s. 969.01 (3) is
2guilty of a Class I felony B misdemeanor for failure to appear as provided.
AB817-AA2,1k 3Section 1k. 946.49 (3) of the statutes is created to read:
AB817-AA2,2,54 946.49 (3) A prosecutor may only charge a person for a violation under sub. (1)
5once per underlying criminal charge for which he or she has been released on bond.”.
