2023 WISCONSIN ACT 28
An Act to amend 343.17 (3) (d) 1g. of the statutes; relating to: seasonal period for farm service license endorsement and modifying administrative rules of the Department of Transportation.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
28,1 Section 1. 343.17 (3) (d) 1g. of the statutes is amended to read:
343.17 (3) (d) 1g. “F" endorsement, which authorizes a seasonal employee of a farm service industry employer who is eligible for a restricted commercial driver license under applicable federal law or regulation to operate “Class B" and “Class C" vehicles as described in s. 343.04 (1) (b) and (c) for a seasonal period not to exceed 180 210 days in any calendar year. This endorsement permits the transporting of liquid fertilizers in vehicles or implements of husbandry with total capacities of 3,000 gallons or less, solid fertilizers that are not transported with any organic substance or 1,000 gallons or less of diesel fuel, but no combination of these materials. The endorsement does not permit operation of a commercial motor vehicle beyond 150 miles of the farm service industry employer's place of business or, in the case of custom harvesters, the farm currently being served.
28,2m Section 2m. Trans 102.20 (2) (j) of the administrative code is amended to read:
Trans 102.20 (2) (j) “Seasonal employment” means a period of employment that does not exceed 180 210 days per year.
28,3m Section 3m. Trans 102.20 (8) (h) of the administrative code is amended to read:
Trans 102.20 (8) (h) The license may not grant farm service CDL privileges for more than 180 210 days in any calendar year.
