2019 WISCONSIN ACT 171
An Act to renumber and amend 106.13 (2m); and to create 106.13 (2m) (a) to (p) of the statutes; relating to: requiring certain occupational areas to be included in the youth apprenticeship program.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
171,1 Section 1. 106.13 (2m) of the statutes is renumbered 106.13 (2m) (intro.) and amended to read:
106.13 (2m) (intro.) The department shall approve occupations occupational areas and maintain a list of approved occupations occupational areas for the youth apprenticeship program. The department shall include in its approved list, at a minimum, all of the following occupational areas:
(2r) From the appropriation under s. 20.445 (1) (a), the department shall develop curricula for youth apprenticeship programs for occupations occupational areas approved under this subsection sub. (2m).
171,2 Section 2. 106.13 (2m) (a) to (p) of the statutes are created to read:
106.13 (2m) (a) Agriculture, food, and natural resources.
(b) Architecture and construction.
(c) Arts, audio-visual technology, and communications.
(d) Business management and administration.
(e) Education and training.
(f) Finance.
(g) Government and public administration.
(h) Health science.
(i) Hospitality and tourism.
(j) Human services.
(k) Information technology.
(L) Law, public safety, corrections, and security.
(m) Manufacturing.
(n) Marketing.
(o) Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
(p) Transportation, distribution, and logistics.
