2019 WISCONSIN ACT 138

An Act to amend 448.52 (1m) (c) of the statutes; relating to: the practice of physical therapy students and physical therapist assistant students and granting rule-making authority.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

138,1 Section 1. 448.52 (1m) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

448.52 (1m) (c) A physical therapy student assisting a physical therapist in the practice of physical therapy or a physical therapist assistant student assisting a physical therapist in performing physical therapy procedures and related tasks, if the assistance doing so is within the scope of the student's education or training. The examining board may promulgate rules related to the supervision of students who perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks.
