NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
EDUCATOR LICENSES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to s. 115.28 (7) (a), Stats., and interpreting s. 115.28 (7) (a), Stats., the Department of Public Instruction will hold a public hearing as required under s. 227.16, Stats., to consider the promulgation of a permanent rule amending PI 34 relating to expanding the assessment of pedagogical knowledge in educator preparation programs. The objective of the proposed rule is to provide flexibility in the assessment of pedagogical knowledge as a condition for completion of an educator preparation program under s. PI 34.021. The hearing will be held as follows: Date and Time: Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Appearances at the Hearing and Submittal of Written Comments
Interested persons are invited to appear at the hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to make a presentation of their position on the proposed rule orally or in writing. The purpose of this hearing to consider public testimony on the proposed rules under consideration. Questions or comments about the rules under consideration may be posed and will be duly recorded.
Individuals who are unable to attend the hearing but would like to submit written comments may do so via the Department’s form for submitting comment at https://forms.gle/oJTPd5XVA78zV4Sm7. Questions or additional testimony may be accepted by using the contact information below.
