NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
PI 36, Public School Inter-District Open Enrollment
On Friday, June 14, 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 038-19, was published in Register No. 760B, on April 29, 2019, and approved by State Superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor on May 10, 2019. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 2016 WI 38, 368 Wis. 2d 444.
An identical emergency rule affecting the same rules contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule has also been submitted for publication in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The proposed rule amends ch. PI 36, relating to financial statements for special education services under open enrollment.
Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
