NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
PI 34, Educator Licenses
On Thursday, March 21st, 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 112-18, was published in Register No. 755A3, on November 19, 2018, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on December 14, 2018. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 2016 WI 38, 368 Wis. 2d 444. A related emergency rule affecting the same Administrative Code provisions contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule has also been submitted for publication in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The proposed rule amends ch. PI 34, relating to educator licenses for military spouses. Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats. The Division for Academic Excellence within the Department of Public Instruction is primarily responsible for promulgation of this rule.
