NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
Chapter PI 11, Children With Disabilities
On January 11, 2018, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 068-17, was published in Register No. 739B on July 31, 2017, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on August 10, 2017. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 368 Wis.2d 444.
The proposed rule amends ch. PI 11, relating to standards for disproportionality in special education and LEA determinations.
Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
