The purpose of this meeting is for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) to provide information to and solicit information from stakeholders regarding the draft statement of scope for the new administrative rule for the Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility (YCSF), a new facility type created by 2017 Wis. Act 59. YCSF will be a treatment facility with a maximum of eight beds that admits a minor to prevent or de-escalate the minor’s mental health crisis and avoid admission of the minor to a more restrictive setting. DHS will be responsible for the governance and certification of this facility type and is writing a new administrative rule for such purpose. This meeting will allow stakeholders to discuss and provide feedback regarding the draft statement of scope for the new administrative rule.
Public advice, comment, or opinion received during an informational meeting or listening session is not binding on the department and is subject to review to the Office of the Secretary or the DHS Administrative Rules Unit.
