“We heard from the Senator from the 27th that we thought this was a violation of process, but I’ve just now learned from the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau that it’s not only a violation of proves, it’s a violation of state law. The particular statute is 19.42 (10)(d), which says that the Board of Regents members are required to file a statement of economic interest. I think it’s important Mr. President that we understand not only does it appear to be that we’re looking at violating process, we’re also violating law.”
