TO SENATE BILL 44

SB44-AA5,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB44-AA5,1,4 21. Page 1, line 5: after "to a labor organization" insert ", payments to workers
3injured in the workplace, granting rule-making authority, making an
4appropriation,".
SB44-AA5,1,5 52. Page 1, line 7: before that line insert:
SB44-AA5,1,6 6" Section 1b. 20.445 (1) (t) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB44-AA5,1,137 20.445 (1) (t) Work injury supplemental benefit fund. All moneys paid into the
8work injury supplemental benefit fund under ss. 102.35 (1), 102.47, 102.49, 102.59,
9102.60, and 102.75 (2), to be used for the discharge of liabilities payable under ss.
10102.44 (1), 102.49, 102.59, 102.63, 102.64 (2), and 102.66 and for the retention of
11services under s. 102.65 (3). The department may also use moneys transferred to the
12work injury supplemental benefit fund under 2015 Wisconsin Act .... (this act),
13section 12m (1m), to make payments under s. 102.65 (5).

1Section 1g. 102.65 (5) of the statutes is created to read:
SB44-AA5,2,62 102.65 (5) The department shall, in accordance with rules promulgated by the
3department, make supplemental payments to workers in this state who have
4suffered workplace injuries and who the department determines are in need of
5compensation to supplement any benefits or other payments provided for under this
6chapter.".
SB44-AA5,2,7 73. Page 5, line 8: after that line insert:
SB44-AA5,2,8 8" Section 12m. Fiscal changes.
SB44-AA5,2,10 9(1m) On the effective date of this subsection, there is transferred from the
10general fund to the work injury supplemental benefit fund $5,000,000.".
