SJR122,1,32 Whereas, the State of Wisconsin recognizes that our children are our greatest
3resource; and
SJR122,1,54 Whereas, our children need emotional and parental support from both parents
5to be as successful as possible; and
SJR122,1,76 Whereas, separated parents who choose to share parenting duties significantly
7decrease the chances of undesirable youth troubles and struggles; and
SJR122,1,98 Whereas, shared parenting is shown to have a significantly positive effect on
9children's well-being; and
SJR122,1,1110 Whereas, Wisconsin is currently the leading state in shared parenting
11outcomes for children with separated parents; and
SJR122,1,1412 Whereas, increasing the public awareness of the importance of providing
13children with the parental support they need from both parents benefits Wisconsin's
14children, their parents, and all of Wisconsin's citizens; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
2Wisconsin Legislature hereby proclaim April 26, 2024, as Shared Parenting Day in
3Wisconsin.
