SB893,1,2 1An Act relating to: reclassification of land surveyors for purposes of worker's
2compensation insurance.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill directs the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance to direct the
Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau to reclassify land surveyors from class code
8602 to class code 8601 for purposes of worker's compensation insurance. The
Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau is an unincorporated association of
insurers created by statute and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and
administering rules, regulations, classifications, rates, and rating plans to govern
the transaction of worker's compensation insurance, among other things.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

SB893,2,24 (1) On the effective date of this subsection, the office of the commissioner of
5insurance shall direct the Wisconsin compensation rating bureau to reclassify

1professional land surveyors licensed under ch. 443 from class code 8602 to class code
28601 for purposes of worker's compensation insurance.
