SB711,1,3 1An Act relating to: increasing the number of authorized positions for the
2Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for regional farmer
3support and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill increases authorized positions for the Department of Agriculture,
Trade and Consumer Protection by two full-time positions for regional farmer
support and increases a department appropriation account in both fiscal years of the
2023-25 fiscal biennium for the positions.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB711,1 4Section 1. Fiscal changes.
SB711,2,35 (1) Regional farmer support. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the
6appropriation to the department of agriculture, trade and consumer protection
7under s. 20.115 (3) (a), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by

1$352,600 and the dollar amount for fiscal year 2024-25 is increased by $352,600 to
2increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 2.0 GPR positions for
3regional farmer support.
