SB570,1,2 1An Act to amend 5.25 (3) of the statutes; relating to: notice of change in polling

Under current law, polling places are required to be established for each
election at least 30 days before the election.
Under this bill, if a polling place changes its location after an election, notice
of that change must be mailed to each residence the polling place serves no later than
30 days before the next election.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB570,1 3Section 1. 5.25 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB570,2,24 5.25 (3) Polling places shall be established for each election at least 30 days
5before the election. If a polling place changes its location after an election, the
6municipal clerk or board of election commissioners shall, no later than 30 days before

1the next election, provide notice of that change by mail to each residence in the area
2served by the polling place.
