2Schneiders.
AR9,1,53 Whereas, Representative Lolita “Lita” Schneiders, a dedicated public servant
4and loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on November 12, 2022 at the
5age of 91; and
AR9,1,86 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 3, 1931 and
7attended Lourdes High School and Mundelein College before graduating from the
8University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a teaching degree in 1953; and
AR9,1,109 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders taught in Arbor Vitae, Minocqua, and in the
10Wausau area before settling in the Village of Menomonee Falls; and
AR9,1,1311 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders went on to become the first female sales
12representative for a Wisconsin insurance company and later became a sales
13representative for a glass distributor; and
AR9,1,1514 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders was elected to the Wisconsin Assembly in 1980 and
15served with distinction for 16 years; and

1Whereas, during her time in the assembly, Lolita Schneiders served on the
2Joint Committee on Finance and the Building Commission, chaired the State Capitol
3and Executive Residence Board, and was elected minority caucus secretary; and
AR9,2,54 Whereas, in 1999, Governor Tommy Thompson appointed Lolita Schneiders to
5the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents; and
AR9,2,86 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders cherished the time spent with her family, especially
7in the kitchen cooking family recipes and at the dinner table, sharing her experiences
8in politics and government; and
AR9,2,109 Whereas, she also enjoyed reading, entertaining, playing bridge and golf, and
10traveling with her late husband, Don; and
AR9,2,1311 Whereas, Lolita Schneiders was an educator with a thirst for knowledge, who
12dedicated her life to serving her community and the state of Wisconsin; now,
13therefore, be it
AR9,2,16 14Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin Assembly
15mourn the passing of Representative Lolita Schneiders and commemorate her life
16and public service.
