AJR89,1,3 1Relating to: mourning the loss of all Americans murdered by Hamas in its attack
2against Israel and calling for the swift and safe release of Americans held
3hostage and the return of Americans murdered.
AJR89,1,64 Whereas, the United States government has confirmed 30 Americans killed, 13
5unaccounted for, and numerous others held hostage as a result of Hamas's barbaric
6attack against Israel on October 7, 2023; and
AJR89,1,87 Whereas, a terrorist attack against Americans of this magnitude has not
8occurred since September 11, 2001; and
AJR89,1,119 Whereas, while the citizens of Wisconsin acknowledge the horrific attacks
10against Jewish people and the State of Israel, we also recognize that this atrocity
11targets the American people; and
AJR89,1,1412 Whereas, the Wisconsin State Legislature, as a collective body, condemns all
13forms of anti-Semitic rhetoric on Wisconsin's college or university campuses; now,
14therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin
2State Legislature implores President Biden and the United States government to
3bring home all Americans murdered or held in captivity by Hamas; and
AJR89,2,6 4Be it further resolved, That the Wisconsin State Legislature stands behind
5President Biden and the United States government in their efforts to support Israel's
6defense forces in the battle to eradicate Hamas from the globe.
