2of the statutes; relating to: local regulation of certain businesses operated by

This bill prohibits a political subdivision from requiring a license or permit for
a business, other than a business at which potentially hazardous food is sold, that
is operated by a person under the age of 18 and that is operated only occasionally.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB964,1 4Section 1. 66.0416 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB964,1,5 566.0416 (title) Stands Certain businesses operated by minors.
AB964,2 6Section 2. 66.0416 (2) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
AB964,2,27 66.0416 (2) (c) Require a license or permit for a business that is operated by a
8person under the age of 18 and that is operated only occasionally. This paragraph

1does not apply to a business at which potentially hazardous food, as defined in s.
297.30 (1) (bm), is sold.
AB964,3 3Section 3. 66.0416 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB964,2,64 66.0416 (3) If a political subdivision has enacted an ordinance or adopted a
5resolution before November 27, 2019, that is inconsistent with sub. (2) (a), the
6ordinance or resolution does not apply and may not be enforced.
