AB587,1,2 1An Act to create 200.35 (10m) of the statutes; relating to: entrance upon real
2property by a metropolitan sewerage district including a 1st class city.

This bill authorizes the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, upon not
less than 30 days' notice, to enter any county parkland for the purpose of constructing
or maintaining any part of the sewerage system or for implementing flood
management projects in the performance of the district's responsibilities. The bill
prohibits MMSD from paying a county for this access, but allows MMSD to provide
in-kind replacement or restoration of impacted county property or facilities.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB587,1 3Section 1. 200.35 (10m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB587,2,54 200.35 (10m) Work on certain county lands. Upon not less than 30 days'
5notice, for the purpose of constructing or maintaining any part of the sewerage
6system or for implementing flood management projects in the performance of its

1responsibilities under this subchapter, the commission may enter upon any land or
2water in the district that is owned by a county and used as parkland. The commission
3may not pay a county for access to land or water under this subsection, but may
4provide in-kind replacement or restoration of impacted county lands, waters, or
5facilities.
