Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill eliminates the fee and issuing fee for an annual fishing license issued
to a resident who has attained the age of 65 years (resident senior citizen). Under
current law, the fee for such a license is $6.25 and the issuing fee is $0.75. The bill
requires in each fiscal year a transfer from the general fund to the conservation fund
in the amount of the number of annual fishing licenses issued to resident senior
citizens in that fiscal year multiplied by $7.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
