This bill prohibits motor vehicle insurance policies from insuring against
liability for exposing a person to, or infecting a person with, an infectious disease
while occupying a motor vehicle. Under the bill, “infectious disease” includes a
sexually transmitted disease or communicable disease.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 632.32 (6) (d) of the statutes is created to read:

(6) (d) No policy may insure against liability for exposing a person to,
6or infecting a person with, an infectious disease while occupying a motor vehicle. In
7this paragraph, “infectious disease” includes a sexually transmitted disease, as
8defined in s. 252.11 (1), or communicable disease, as defined in s. 990.01 (5g).

Initial applicability.

(1) This act first applies to a motor vehicle insurance policy that is issued or
3renewed on the effective date of this subsection.
