SB140,1,2 1An Act to amend 89.063 of the statutes; relating to: eliminating first-time
2license fees for veterinary licenses and veterinary technician certificates.

This bill exempts applicants for veterinary licenses and veterinary technician
certificates from the fee for an initial license or certification.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB140,1 3Section 1 . 89.063 of the statutes is amended to read:
SB140,2,4 489.063 Fees. The department may not charge a fee for an initial license,
5certification, or permit issued under s. 89.06, 89.072, or 89.073.
The department
6shall determine by rule the fees for each initial renewal of a license, certification, and
7or permit issued under ss. 89.06, 89.072, and 89.073 , and, if applicable, for renewal
8of the license, certification, or permit, including
late fees ,. The department shall

1determine the fees under this section
based on the department's administrative and
2enforcement costs under this chapter. The department shall notify the holder of each
3such license, certification, or permit of any fee adjustment under this subsection that
4affects that license, certification, or permit holder.
