AB985,1,3 1An Act to amend 175.60 (2g) (a) of the statutes; relating to: possession of a
2firearm in a place of worship by a person who has a license to carry a concealed
3weapon.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill specifies that a person who has a license to carry a concealed weapon
may possess a firearm in a place of worship, including on school grounds, unless the
place of worship posts its grounds or building as provided in the trespassing laws.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB985,1 4Section 1. 175.60 (2g) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB985,2,25 175.60 (2g) (a) A licensee or an out-of-state licensee may carry a concealed
6weapon anywhere in this state except as provided under subs. (15m) and (16) and ss.
7943.13 (1m) (c) and 948.605 (2) (b) 1r. and, notwithstanding s. 948.605 (2), a licensee

1or an out-of-state licensee may possess a firearm in a place of worship unless the
2building or grounds of the place of worship are posted under s. 943.13 (1m) (c) 2.
