SB70-SSA2-SA8,1,84 20.455 (2) (a) General program operations. The amounts in the schedule for
5general program operations, including operating the state crime laboratories,
6performing criminal investigations, providing law enforcement services and,
7providing independent crime laboratory services for defendants in a felony case upon
8authorization by the presiding judge, and operating the office of school safety.

SB70-SSA2-SA8,2,610 (1) Office of school safety. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the
11appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (2) (a), the dollar amount
12for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by $387,800 to increase the authorized FTE

1positions for the department by 6.0 GPR positions for the operations of the office of
2school safety to support and enhance school safety initiatives. In the schedule under
3s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (2) (a),
4the dollar amount for fiscal year 2024-25 is increased by $608,300 to provide funding
5for the positions authorized under this subsection and to increase the authorized
6FTE positions by 1.2 additional GPR positions for the same purpose.”.
