TO ASSEMBLY BILL 984

AB984-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB984-AA1,1,3 21. Page 2, line 18: delete “state." and substitute “state that are selected in
3accordance with par. (am).".
AB984-AA1,1,4 42. Page 2, line 21: after that line insert:
AB984-AA1,1,7 5(am) Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. shall
6select schools to participate in the school-centered mental health program under
7par. (a) as follows:
AB984-AA1,1,9 81. One school shall be physically located in a rural school district and one school
9shall be physically located in a suburban or urban school district.
AB984-AA1,1,11 102. Each school shall demonstrate all of the following to Lutheran Social
11Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc.:
AB984-AA1,1,12 12a. That the school currently offers behavioral health resources to pupils.
AB984-AA1,2,2
1b. That the school is willing and able to facilitate a survey to school staff, pupils,
2and parents of pupils related to the program operated under par. (a).
AB984-AA1,2,4 3c. That the school is willing and able to provide pupil data for the audit under
4sub. (2) to the legislative audit bureau, upon request.”.
AB984-AA1,2,5 53. Page 3, line 16: delete lines 16 and 17 and substitute:
AB984-AA1,2,12 6(2) Audit of school-centered mental health program. The legislative audit
7bureau is requested to perform a performance evaluation audit of the
8school-centered mental health program operated under sub. (1), including the
9impact of the program on pupils' academic performance and the social and emotional
10growth of pupils at participating schools, as reported on surveys facilitated by each
11participating school. If the legislative audit bureau performs the audit, the bureau
12shall file its report as described under s. 13.94 (1) (b) by January 1, 2026.”.
