NR 427.01 NR 427.01Applicability; purpose.
NR 427.01(1) (1)Applicability. This chapter applies to all air contaminant sources which emit lead or lead compounds and to their owners and operators.
NR 427.01(2) (2)Purpose. This chapter is adopted under ss. 285.11, 285.13 and 285.17, Stats., to categorize lead air contaminant sources and to establish emission limitations for these sources in order to protect air quality.

NR 427.02 NR 427.02Definitions. The definitions contained in ch. NR 400 apply to the terms used in this chapter.

NR 427.025 NR 427.025General limitations. No person may cause, allow or permit emissions into the ambient air of lead or lead compounds which substantially contribute to the exceeding of an air standard or air increment, or which create air pollution.

NR 427.03 NR 427.03Specific source limitations. No person may cause, allow or permit lead or lead compounds to be emitted to the ambient air in amounts greater than the department may establish by permit condition under s. 285.63 (5) or 285.65, Stats., by rule or by special order.
