1An Act to renumber and amend
115.45 (1) (b); and to create
115.45 (1) (b) 2. 2
of the statutes; relating to: robotics league participation grants.

This bill expands the category of teams eligible to receive a grant to participate
in a robotics competition to include teams containing pupils in grades 6, 7, and 8.
Current law permits a team containing pupils in grades 9 to 12 to apply to receive
such a grant.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
115.45 (1) (b) of the statutes is renumbered 115.45 (1) (b) (intro.) and 4
amended to read:
(b) (intro.) “Eligible team" means a all of the following:
robotics competition team consisting of pupils in any of the grades 9 7
through 12 and at least one mentor.
115.45 (1) (b) 2. of the statutes is created to read:
(b) 2. A robotics competition team described in subd. 1. that also has 2
one or more pupils in any of the grades 6 to 8.
