SB533-SA3,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB533-SA3,1,3 21. Page 1, line 3: after "government" insert "and requiring a 1st class city and
3a county in which a 1st class city is located to hold referendums".
SB533-SA3,1,4 42. Page 2, line 3: after that line insert:
SB533-SA3,1,5 5" Section 1g. 59.10 (2) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
SB533-SA3,1,76 59.10 (2) (e) Referendum on locally issued identification cards. The board shall
7comply with the referendum requirement under s. 66.0438 (2m).
SB533-SA3,1r 8Section 1r. 62.535 of the statutes is created to read:
SB533-SA3,1,11 962.535 Referendum on locally issued identification cards. The common
10council of a 1st class city shall comply with the referendum requirement under s.
1166.0438 (3m).".

3under sub. (2) take effect only after all of the following requirements have been

SB533-SA3,2,105 (a) The governing body of the county provides by resolution for a referendum
6to be held at the general election in 2016. The governing body of the county shall file
7the resolution required under this paragraph as provided in s. 8.37 and shall
8schedule and hold the referendum in accordance with chs. 5 to 12. The governing
9body of the county shall include in the resolution required under this paragraph the
10following referendum questions to appear on the ballot:
SB533-SA3,2,1211 1. "Shall Milwaukee County be prohibited from issuing, or expending any
12funds for the issuance of, a photo identification card for any resident of the county?"
SB533-SA3,2,1613 2. "If Milwaukee County is not prohibited from issuing, or expending any funds
14for the issuance of, a photo identification card for a resident of the county, may the
15photo identification card be used by the resident to establish proof of residence for
16voting purposes?"
SB533-SA3,2,1717 (b) All of the following apply:
SB533-SA3,2,1918 1. A majority of those voting on the question under par. (a) 1. approve the
19question.
SB533-SA3,2,2120 2. A majority of those voting on the question under par. (a) 2. reject the
21question.".
